The Grand Canyon

I had 5 hours of sleep the night before and then drove 12 hours.  To say I was exhausted was an understatement.  We were staying a the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  It is a higher elevation an very far removed from civilization.  The plus is that there are few people.

We arrived in rain with little to no views to be seen.  But, we were tired and hungry and cancelled our 7pm dinner reservation to eat a buffet.

Here we were at the Grand Canyon and we couldn't see a thing.  Then all the sudden there was a collective gasp in the dinning room and people started heading out on to the terrace.  It turned out that the setting sun started to peek through the rain and made the most amazing sunset.

The Grand Canyon paparazzi.

It couldn't have been any more amazing!
