And so it begins! Our month long odyssey through the western states in route to California! We are traveling with the Sipps. Sandy, the kids and I are traveling the whole time while the husbands join us for part of the trip. Matt is on the first part of the trip as we travel west and then flies home. Chad joins us for the last week and comes home with us.
First State, Colorado!
I had planned on bringing my Prius on this trip for the obvious gas savings but alas, it was totaled just two weeks ago when a teenager rear ended me and pushed me into the car ahead. We were not injured and the kid took full responsibility, but my Prius has gone to car heaven. Since we believe in quantity not quality (tongue in cheek) when it comes to vehicles I had other options available and took the van.
Just 2 hours into the trip I had a flat. Thankfully, Chad had aired up the donut and shown me where to find the tools. Matt and I changed the tire quickly and drove ahead to the next town to replace it.
