Ohio 2016

We visited Chad's family last weekend.

Here are the boys riding in Great-Grandpa's loader after fixing a fence.

Nathaniel was determined to get a fish.  We went fishing many times over the three days we were there.  Dale was the only one to catch a fish.

Tim baiting his hook.

Nora and Tim on the paddle boat after they got tired of fishing.

On the way back to the farm Nathaniel drove the golf cart.

Tim and Grandpa drove the Gator.

We got to see the cousins quite a bit and enjoyed playing softball with them.  The weather was beautiful and the first warm weekend they had.

Nora driving the Gator and Tim on the golf cart.  Round and round they went around the barn.

The boys, Tim, Nathaniel, and Jared.

Visiting the Barnes

After visiting the Bakers in Ohio we drove to Wheeling, West Virginia to meet with the Barnes for the day.
The weather was beautiful!  We went to Oglebay Park which was a resort/park all wrapped up into one.

Jonathan and Timothy.

Katie, Maggy, Nathaniel, and Nora.

I suspect the history of the place is that once upon a time it was an estate.  There were many old buildings.

There were beautiful flower beds full of tulips.  All roped off with electric fence.  To keep the kids out, or the deer, not sure which...

Maria and I.

Nora and Katie.

Pete and Chad hanging out at the fountain.

Another of the buildings.

It was a warm spring day and we took shelter from the sun on a porch.

The kids played many rounds of "Rock, Paper, Scissors".

It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it again!

Weekend at Terry's

Several weekends ago we visited Matt's dad Terry up north of Abilene, Kansas.  It had been several years since we had been to stay for the weekend.

He lives out in the country surrounded by farms and small towns.  Chad and Terry had a great time shooting while the rest of us took it easy.

On Saturday we took the kids to Milford Lake.

We hiked the beach and the kids played in the water.

Afterwords we hiked to a lookout tower.

The Sipp bunch and the Baker bunch.

Matt and the kids playing freeze tag on top of round bales to pass the time on Sunday morning before we left.
