The Grand Canyon Lodge

We stayed in cabins at the Grand Canyon Lodge.  Unless you want to drive 45 minutes to the Kaibab Lodge there are no other places to stay on the North Rim.  It makes it a unique place to stay.  Because  it is far removed from anything else the only people there are staying at the lodge.  In other words, NO CROWDS!

The cabins were quaint and authentic, but had bathrooms!  My favorite part was that I got my own room and didn't have to share with the kids.  Being next door to the Sipps was great too.  Sandy and I had to book these cabins a year in advance.  When the plans for the trip changed last spring we got lucky and there happen to be two cabins cancelled on the dates we needed.

The kids favorite part!
