Santa Barbara Playground

Today we went to Santa Barbara to pick up Sandy's cousin Pam.  We took Caritas Pass over the mountains from Ojai to Santa Barbara.

While we were there, Nathaniel befriended a young boy.  The boys father came over and introduced himself as Mike.  Mike appreciated that Nathaniel had taken Soren, his son, under his wing and was playing with him.  We talked a bit and I asked if Soren had any siblings.  Mike told me that one was on the way, but they had a unique family situation.  Soren had two moms and Mike was the doner.  He said it was a blessing to be involved in Soren's life, most "doner" dads were not involved, but he got to pick up Soren every day after preschool.  

Talk about culture shock!
