Carrots

Nora's friend Ella came over to stay the night yesterday and the kids wanted to pull carrots from the garden to eat. Ella doesn't like carrots - can you tell?

The Van

At last we have a van! Last weekend we drove down to Dallas to purchase a 2004 Honda Odyssey. Why Dallas? Because we knew exactly what van we wanted and the price we were willing to pay, and we just were not finding it around here. Yep, I was being picky - but I didn't want to settle for less when that much money was involved. We also got a chance to visit my Uncle Eric and Aunt Susan while there and experience true rush hour traffic. I love our small city after tackling Dallas at 5:00 on a Friday evening.

The kids are enjoying the DVD system and now Ella can ride with us! Below is a picture of the kids crowded in the back of the Accord just to give an idea of packed things had become before the van.

On the way home from Dallas we stopped at Turner Falls to let the kids stretch their legs and get "a little" wet. It's a beautiful place.

The Great Garage Sale

At last this years garage sale if over! Much work and time was put into it and now at last it is finished! We (my friend Heather and I) held it on Friday and Saturday this last weekend in Newton at Heather's place. She gets much more traffic than I do by being located near the highway, a school and the main route to shopping. We did this last year also. We made over a thousand dollars between the two of us - my net profit was $550. Not bad considering we had to pay two babysitters, ate out too many times and truck gas for the 45 min drive to Newton I made 4 times. Tim was the most stressed by it all and will need a couple of days to recover. Poor thing had to resort to taking naps in the wagon.

Some people have a pet dog that begs at the dinner table... some people have a cat that begs at the dinner table.... then there is us Bakers.
