Chinatown!

After playing at the splash pad we decided to head back to the Mall.  Knowing that we needed dinner, we took a look at the metro and saw that Chinatown was just a couple of stops away.  I LOVE Asian food and jumped at the chance to eat it and see more of DC.

Another ride on the Metro.  Nathaniel turned into a monkey.  I just pretended he wasn't mine.

Lucy (Maria's Mom) recommended Jackeys.  Check out that menu!  Jelly Fish!  Fried Intestines!

Pete's face after discovering a hot chili pepper in his dish of Orange Chicken.  All joking aside, it was easily one of the best Asian places I have ever eaten.

Don't you just love their sign?  Once we finished the meal, it was after dark.  We had just a block to walk to the subway but the atmosphere had changed on the streets.  It was clear we needed to get out of the neighborhood.  While we didn't necessarily feel unsafe, we were concerned for what the kids might see or be exposed to.  It was time to leave the inner city behind.
