When we left Windsor it was a two hour drive to dinner at the Townsends. We stopped to get gas. Check out those prices!
A British liter (the price above) is about 4 to our gallon.
1.299 (price in pounds above) x 4 (British liters) = 5.16 x 1.6 ( pounds to dollars conversation rate) = $8.25 for a British Gallon
convert to an American gallon
8.25 x 1.2 = $9.9
That is almost $10 a gallon!
Heather, if the calculation isn't right, blame Pete. He told me to round numbers and I told him you would not find that acceptable. It took us 10 minutes to research and discuss this formula.
Oh, and we will be paying this price over the next three days on our trip to see the Cotswolds!!!!
We drove through some villages with thatched roofs on the way to the Townsends.
At the Townsends we ate a delicious meal and the kids ate outside. Henry is their youngest son and the boy in this picture.
It is so nice to be out of the city! We are taking a day to relax at the Barnes and then we are off to a 3 day trip to the Cotswolds. Check back soon!

Take pictures EVEN while relaxing! :) It all looks so quaint!
