Misc. Pictures of the Memorial Day Trip

On a trip like this there are always some pictures that defy categorization.  They just get dumped into a misc. post.

Here they are.

Late night games of Dutch Blitz.

Notice the unpainted wall behind Chad and the Changs?  And the scaffolding behind Mike?  All that got cleaned up this trip.

Mike and Heather removed the scaffolding and I painted not only the wall but the door.

Vern solved the mystery of why we couldn't get electric to the boy's bedroom and after a couple of years there are now lights in there!

It no longer looks like a construction zone!  It looks like a house! Yeah, it still needs a lot of things, like flooring, but it has come a long way since the days of no electricity and bucket toilets.

I also painted the eyesore of a dresser in the hallway and the back door.

The kids playing Monopoly.

Alan and Chad cutting wood.  The never ending job that comes with a wooded lot in a forest fire prone area.

Vern, who brought a drone last year upped the ante and brought along virtual reality goggles.  Here is Alan trying them out.  Vern filmed various things we did and places we visited and then played them back for us to see.  Try it sometime, it's amazing!

Oh, and Ellie and her backpack.  She HATED it.  Can you tell?

Thats it for now, we head back in a few weeks for the 4th of July!
