On Tuesday Alan and Chad left for home. On Wednesday the Bainums left and the Changs and I headed to Alamosa to drop off their van to get a tire replaced. While the van was being worked on we drove back to the dunes and hiked to the top.

So, we had this grand idea of making it to the top and enjoying a snack while basking in victory. It was more like getting the pictures as fast as we could while the sand blasted us in the face.
