We made the trip home in one day. We made many stops for potty breaks and to stretch our legs. In St. Louis we stoped at Cahokia, an ancient Indian City. There are still mounds to see and walk on and an excellent museum to visit. The Museum cost only a $10 donation for the whole family and had one of the best exhibits I have seen. We didn't have the time to walk the grounds of the city but we hope to some day. Below is a mural of what the city looked like during it's heyday. At that time it was larger than the city of London and was the largest prehistoric city north of Mexico. It covered 6 square miles.
A mural in the museum of what Cahokia once looked like.
16 hours is a long time to ride in the van when you are young. I don't know what we would do without the invention of the DVD player! Mika did great on the way home and slept the whole way. She is great dog and will go on many more trips with us in the future just not to Ohio.

It was a great trip and we had a great time, but we are also happy to be home.
(so I can play with the pictures!)
