Labor Day 2010

We visited the family down in Dexter on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The kids got to play with the cousins, Chad got to shoot and I got to ride.
Playing at the creek with the cousins and hunting anything of interest. That would include minnows, tadpoles and crawdads.

Blue, Shirley and Gary's dog loved playing in the water too. This picture didn't quite capture his shivering stance. We took Mika with us on the visit but not to the creek. Blue was scared of her and spent a lot of time trying to crawl into Shirley or Gary's lap. Mika just wanted to play tag. They did at the very end as we were loading the van. Only after all day did Blue accept her...well, kind of.

my pumpkin!

A bug? I don't quite remember.

Chad shooting the 44.

Me shooting the 22 Beretta, my kind of gun. Dad joined us on the visit and provided most of the guns. He brought some type of hamerless 38 (I think). I'm such a sissy, I shot it and handed it back after only two rounds. I like my guns small and with no kick.

Timothy riding Rocky. It was only his second horse back ride. He loved it, of course. Tim loves to ride anything! Especially if it has wheels, but as long as it moves he is happy.

Ain't he cute!?

Rocky and I galloping up the hill.
