During the week Tim had developed an abscess on the back of his leg. With care we were able to keep the infection under control and heal it up. Then another one popped up on his abdomen we had a harder time with it. Both of the abbesses had quite a bit of puss in them and were surprisingly deep. When the swelling dropped into his groin area we decided it was time to go see a doctor. The first emergency room transferred us to a Children's hospital in Colorado Springs. After a night of driving across Colorado and two hours of sleep we woke to a hot air ballon festival in Colorado Springs. Right outside Timothy's window.
Once a pediatric surgeon was found surgery was scheduled. Timothy was terrified.
But, all went well. The surgeon drained the abscess and Tim is doing much better. The results are not in yet, but it is believed to be a form of Staph.
