We seem to have an explosion of pets lately. It first started with our one and only cat, Dot, having 3 kittens. Then came the annual fall batch of chicks. The chicks met their untimely demise and were massacred bringing about another second order of chicks. To play it safe we ordered extras this time. Then came the shocker, we got a puppy. Bringing the grand total to 45 animals we own. It's time to buy some acreage!
Picking up our second chick batch at the post office. We have them mailed from a hatchery. The post office receives them in the middle of the night and then calls us. This time it was 5 in the morning.
Taking 30 chicks home.
Dot and her kitten Spotted Leaf. Nora and her friends named her.
Isn't she a cutie!
To say she has wormed her way into the family would be an understatement.
While she isn't an indoor cat we just can help letting her in for a Sunday afternoon nap.
Now, we can't leave out Mask I and Mask II. They took up residence in our yard for about 12 hours each. We suspect they may have been the guilty party in the chick massacre.
Then there was the purchace of a new puppy. Mika was not about to be left behind when going to pick her up.
Katrina.
Katrina meets Spotted Leaf.
We have long thought Mika should be our only dog due to her abandonment and jealousy issues. Don't let the picture above fool you, Mika has yet to like the puppy. We hope she comes around and can get along with her soon.
