When we moved into our house 6 years ago we set out to update it and remodel. Before we moved in we spent a month painting walls and tearing down wallpaper. The master bath was one of the rooms we started on, but never completely finished. We did do quite a bit, we removed the wallpaper, painted and replaced the carpet. YES, CARPET. At that time we tore out the vanity and sink with the intention of putting in a new one. 6 years have passed and at last we got to it.
Above is what it looked like when we bought the place. At that time we painted it green to match our bedroom.
I wish I could tell you that I took a picture of it when it was green, but I didn't. As I am prone to do, I got tired of the color and wanted to try something different. I first painted the whole room in a beige color. Sherman William's Beach House, if you are asking.
Then I came back with a darker color and mixed it with faux glaze. I painted it on horizontally and then used a brush to take off some of it showing the underling color and leaving a lined look.
When it dried, I did it again with a vertical layer giving the wall a fabric or linen look. Yes! I love it!
Now since the walls were painted it was at last time for a vanity and sink.
Sorry, it's a small bathroom, it is hard to get a picture of the whole thing. We are very happy with it and love having a sink again!
