We spent another weekend in Dexter hunting, horseback riding and playing. Chad did not get a deer. Please feel free to call him and ask why not. The clock is ticking and my freezer needs meat. Well, not really but these weeks of playing single mom need to pay off.
The picture below can be clicked on to enlarge it. I shows the Foltz property or at least the "homestead". I'm not sure what I should call it, but that works for now. I took the picture from the top of a hill that sits on the far south east of the property. Just so you understand where some of these stories take place. It is also the same hill we took the kids to to stargaze on Friday night. A cool experience we hope to repeat.
Arriving at Grandma's and Grandpa's is announced about a half a mile down the road with screams from the back seat of "COWS!" (as if we don't have any just down the road from our home) "ROCKY! TWISTER!". Those would be the horses. Once we pull in the grandparents are verbally tossed aside and the kids take off to see the new cows and visit the horses. Here are some of the pictures.
My new all time (for now) favorite picture of Tim.
Never ask a two year old to smile.Chad took off immediately the first evening for deer hunting and the kids played with Blue the puppy. I unpacked and settled in. The next day I rode and when Chad came back from hunting we took the kids to the creek. I played with my camera and did some fossil hunting while the kids splashed and threw rock after rock into the water.
