Sandy suggested that we go blueberry picking this year. She has gone in years past and thought we would really enjoy the experience. She was right. It was a long way to drive but we made a fun day of it. Susan decided to join us and because she lives so far away she stayed the night before at our place.

Chad picking blackberries.
Nathaniel picking blueberries.
Afterwords we went to a local attraction of an iron bridge and an old mill site. The old mill was now nothing more than a waterfall and some old stone walls.
Matt looking back at the bridge.
It was a great place to wade for the kids.
I found a dead gar fish and we showed the kids it's teeth.
Once the boys got accustomed to the water they really had a great time.
Don't let the falls worry you, we were quite a ways back and the water was only an inch deep at the falls and moving slowly. As long as the kids stayed away from the edge they were safe.
Titus, Timothy and Wyatt.
We saw 3 snakes, 3 dead fish, and numerous crawdads. The kids had a grand time.
