The "S's" have taken Chad and I climbing in the past and this time we took the kids to see what they thought of the whole idea.
Ella, a natural born climber!
Nora following Ella.
Each of our kids started out great but then when they reached the highest they could go they then panicked a bit.
Having been there myself I completely understand!
Nora coming back down. It takes some trust to let go and allow the person on belay to lower you down.
Nathaniel's turn!
He tore up the wall like he was late for dinner!
And then like Nora before him wanted to come back down and was afraid to let go.
There was a cave in the climbing wall that made for a lot of fun for the kids.
By the time we got to Tim I knew it would be best if I climbed up with him and helped him down. He stared off all gung-ho and excited but then quickly reached his limit and wanted down. Here in the picture he is telling his dad to come rescue him.
On the way home they all said they wanted to do it again.
I had hoped the kids would give me a up or down vote on whether they would like to do this on a regular basis but I go so many mixed messages that we will have to give it another shot to see what they think.
